Sointi Jazz Orchestra ry in cooperation with Pop & Jazz Conservatory organises a Big Band camp for 7-14 years old wind players and accompanists 9.-13.6.2025 at Pop & Jazz Conservatory.
At the big band camp you will get to play music in a relaxed atmosphere with enthusiastic and professional leaders. We divide the participants into two different big band levels. Rehearsals will be held in both big bands and smaller groups, and there will also be music sessions for all participants, including musical exercise, body rhythms, movement, breathing exercises and more! Each day of the camp will be from 10am to 3pm, with a concert on Friday at the end of the day. Camp days include a lunch break.
The camp programme will be tailored to the participants, so all levels of wind and brass players are welcome to participate. The camp will be taught by experienced teachers from the Pop&Jazz Conservatory.
The camp will take place 9.-13.6.2025 at Soiva Pop&Jazz Conservatory at Muotoilijankatu 1B, Helsinki.
The camp will end on Fri 13.6. at 15:00 with a concert where the bands will perform the songs they have rehearsed during the week.
The Early Bird price for the camp is 120€.For registrations received on or after 17.3.2025 the price is 130€. The camp fee includes the sheet music for the songs to be played at the camp, lunch and insurance.
