The winners of the 2025 Teosto Prize are Mioko Yokoyama’s composition Mineralization and Kristo Laant’s works on DJ Kridlokk’s album Hai. Kristo Laanti graduated from the Pop & Jazz Conservatory of Music in 2023. Congratulations Kristo!
The total prize of €40 000 will be shared equally between the winning authors.
The six nominees and two winners of the Teosto Prize were chosen from among Finnish compositions published or premiered during 2024. The winners were selected by a four-person jury, including the 2024 Teosto Prize winners Jenni Kinnunen (Tinyhawk & Bizzarro) and Minna Leinonen, as well as members of the Teosto management team, invited by Janne Murto, Director of the Pop & Jazz Conservatory, and Ilkka Mattila, cultural editor of Helsingin Sanomat.
